Spider Lily - favorite flower, first sign of fall

During the first week in September, long green stalks with a swollen tip pop out of the ground overnight.  The next day they burst open into inverted red firework displays.  I wait for these the whole year.
Here are "portraits" of two that graced my yard this year.

  4. Hi, Lisa. Very lovely work. I like your freeway/map work as well. I find a map slipping into one of my pieces, too. Don't know what to do with it, but I guess I'll figure it out. Looking forward to following your painting adventures.
